Job summary

Genentech's 2027 Summer Intern in Product Technical Development—Engineering and Manufacturing is a 12-week, full-time, on-site program in South San Francisco. It offers a $2500 OSA stipend and hands-on project ownership across drug delivery, device development, and manufacturing support.

Candidates must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree (or have completed one within 2 years) and be able to work 40 hours/week for the entire internship term.

Qualifications

Must be pursuing a bachelor's degree at the time of application (having completed at least 2 years of the degree program).
Must have attained a bachelor's degree within 2 years of your application date and must not be currently enrolled in a graduate program.
Relevant work experience in research labs or the biotechnology industry is desirable but not required.
Must be able to work 40 hours/week for the duration of the 12 week internship.

Responsibilities

Work on projects in PTDUP focus areas within Engineering and Manufacturing.
Collaborate with plant engineers, project managers, process specialists, or packaging and device development engineers.
Assist with clean utility and production equipment upgrades/modifications and with GMP compliance programs.
