Job summary

Genentech is offering a 12-week, full-time Summer Intern position in Product Technical Development with laboratory focus, on-site in South San Francisco. The internship provides a $2,500 stipend and opportunities to contribute to challenging, high-impact projects while learning from senior leaders.

Responsibilities span wet-lab or dry-lab work across cell culture, purification, analytical chemistry, and drug delivery development, with presentations to senior leaders at the end of the program.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a bachelor's degree at the time of application (having completed at least 2 years of the degree program).
• Must have attained a bachelor's degree within 2 years of your application date and must not be currently enrolled in a graduate program.
• Relevant work experience in research labs or the biotechnology industry is desirable but not required.
• Must be able to work 40 hours/week for the duration of the 12 week internship.

Responsibilities

• Support a range of development activities including wet-lab or dry-lab experiments.
• Work on Cell Culture and Fermentation Development, Purification Development, protein analytical chemistry, analytical operations, and other PTD focus areas.
• Assist in designing, executing, and analyzing project work and present findings to senior leaders.
