Job summary

Momentive in West Virginia is offering a Summer 2027 Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Engineer Intern position. You will gain hands-on experience supporting capital and reliability projects in a large chemical facility, working with engineers, maintenance, and operations to improve plant performance.

You will develop engineering, project management, and problem-solving skills across project scopes, procurement, and field execution while learning instrumentation, controls, and electrical

Qualifications

• Pursuing undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field.
• Strong interest in electrical systems, instrumentation, automation, project engineering, or manufacturing operations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Familiarity with CAD software such as AutoCAD.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, development and execution of electrical/instrumentation projects across the facility.
• Enter and manage projects in SAP PPM, track milestones and budgets.
• Create and update engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Coordinate procurement, supplier communications and SAP-based purchase requisitions.
• Support field construction and project execution, ensuring safety and quality.
