Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in Grand Rapids is seeking a Front Desk Intern for the Summer 2027 season. This part-time internship offers hands-on experience at the front desk, PBX, and occasional Bellstand, delivering the highest level of guest service.

Responsibilities include operating the OnQ PMS, checking in and out guests, handling calls, and supporting departments to ensure a seamless guest experience. Ideal for a college student seeking school credit and real-world hospitality exposure.

Qualifications

• Must be in college seeking internship for school credit.
• Must be reliable, willing to work weekends and holidays.
• Ability to communicate in English both verbally and written.
• Comfortable with learning systems to perform day to day operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate Hilton’s OnQ Property Management System.
• Check-in and checkout large volume of guests.
• Manage phone calls from guestrooms/outside lines.
• Follow cash handling/banking outlined by Accounting.
• Resolve guest concerns at first contact.
• Actively working, always looking for ways to assist guests and go above and beyond to provide guest service.
• Maintain active and open communication with various hotel departments and outlets.
