Job summary

Butterball, LLC, in the Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina area, offers a summer internship focused on feed mill operations, ingredient management, and process improvement. You will work with mill leaders to support production, maintenance, and safety initiatives and analyze data for leadership recommendations.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or related fields, able to work in a plant environment, and proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Agribusiness, Agronomy, or related field with an expected graduation date Dec 2028–Jun 2029.
• Ability to work in a feed mill environment with exposure to dust, temperatures, noise, and heights.
• Willingness to learn, take initiative, and collaborate in a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.

Responsibilities

• Learn day-to-day operations of a feed mill, including feed manufacturing and ingredient management.
• Partner with mill leaders to support production, maintenance, and safety initiatives.
• Assist with projects on process improvement, equipment reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Analyze operational data and present findings and recommendations to leadership.
