Job summary

Butterball, LLC invites energetic interns to join the 2027 Summer Continuous Improvement Internship at the Mount Olive, NC plant. You will work 10–12 weeks on operational improvements, analyze data, and apply problem‑solving tools to drive safety, quality, and efficiency.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with cross-functional teams, learn standard work, and present results to plant leadership. Pursuing an Engineering/Analytics-related degree with graduation 2027–2029 and a valid driver’s license

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering, Agribusiness, Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics or related field with expected graduation Dec 2027 through Jun 2029.
Strong problem solving, data analysis and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

Support continuous improvement initiatives focusing on safety, quality, productivity, efficiency, and waste reduction.
Assist with root cause analysis using 5 Whys and Fishbone diagrams.
Support daily management systems, including Tier meetings and visual performance boards.
Assist with process documentation, standard work updates, and operating procedure development.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and sustain process improvements.
Present findings and recommendations to plant leadership and other stakeholders.
