Beck's Hybrids invites applicants for a Practical Farm Research Intern in Henderson, KY. This paid, part-time internship runs from May through August 2027, with housing options available (furnished housing or a stipend).

Interns will engage in multiple research modules—planting, data collection, plot identification, and production support—gaining hands-on agronomy experience and exposure to field operations with sales staff.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate coursework in agriculture or related field.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and insurable driving record as determined by Beck's automobile insurance policy.
• This is a safety-sensitive position.
• Chauffeur license or equivalent may be required.
• Farm background and general farm knowledge helpful.

Responsibilities

• Planting Module: set up and plant research studies, organize seed, plant, clean meters, and flag plots.
• Data Collection and Thinning Module: collect, report, and analyze stand count data; thin plots to desired populations and compare treatments.
• Plot Identification Module: map test plots and identify varieties/technologies with signs and stakes.
• Production Module: support Beck's Hybrids sales staff in production and may ride with Location Lead on customer calls.
• This internship provides experience to diagnose agronomic issues and evaluate hybrid performance in real-world farming.
