Job summary

Beck’s Hybrids is seeking a Practical Farm Research Intern in Henderson, KY for a paid part-time summer internship from May to August 2027. Housing is provided as furnished housing or stipend.

Interns will participate in planting, data collection, plot identification, and production modules while gaining exposure to real-world agronomic issues. Qualifications include undergraduate coursework in agriculture, a valid driver’s license, and a safety-sensitive work environment.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate coursework in an agricultural related field.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
• Safety-sensitive position.

Responsibilities

• Planting Module: learn to set up and plant various study plots, organize seed and stake plots.
• Data Collection and Thinning Module: collect, report, and analyze stand count data and thinning.
• Plot Identification Module: design and map test plots and identify varieties with signs and stakes.
• Production Module: support production agriculture and ride along with sales staff to evaluate product performance.
