Job summary

General Motors invites students to join the 2027 Summer Intern program in Creative Design (Interior/Exterior). You will generate innovative design concepts, produce perspective sketches and renderings, and build 2D and 3D mockups, collaborating with engineers and fabricators.

A strong portfolio is required for consideration. Applicants must be pursuing a degree in Industrial/Automotive Design, graduating between Dec 2027 and May 2029, and able to work full-time over the summer.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a bachelor's degree or advanced degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Transportation Design, or Automotive Design.
• Must be graduating between December 2027 and May 2029.
• Able to work full-time, 40 hours per week during the summer months.

Responsibilities

• Create new and unique design concepts and develop two- and three-dimensional mock-ups.
• Make perspective sketches and renderings to communicate ideas.
• Collaborate with studio engineers and fabrication personnel to develop scale models.
