Job summary

General Motors in Pasadena, CA is seeking a Summer Intern for Fabrication Design. This role offers a chance to develop vehicle design skills and support fabrication engineering for both interior and exterior models.

The ideal candidate will be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Engineering, Mechatronics, or Industrial Design and must be graduating between December 2026 and May 2028. The internship includes a salary of $5,300, paid holidays, and potential career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be graduating Dec 2026 – May 2028.
• Able to work full-time, 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Learn various design fabrication techniques.
• Developing b-side and building surface data for show vehicle fabrication.
• Assisting studio personnel in solving engineering and design problems.
• Creating and maintaining assemblies for diverse projects.
• Performing basic assessment of surface quality.

Skills

Knowledge of digital software such as Alias Design

Knowledge of Microsoft Office

Analytical skills

Familiarity with fabrication processes

Previous experience in fabrication

Education

Pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree or Advanced degree in Engineering, Mechatronics, or Industrial Design
