Job summary

General Motors' design studio in Warren, Michigan seeks a Senior Creative Designer to lead bold interior concepts from sketch to release, coordinating with engineering, sculpting, and fabrication teams to deliver customer-centric GM interiors.

You will translate ideas into 2D/3D proposals, present to leadership, mentor colleagues, and stay attuned to current design trends while reporting onsite with travel under 25% and relocation benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Design (Automotive, Transportation, Industrial…).
• Minimum 5 years in an OEM design studio.
• Strong form understanding and 2D to 3D visualization ability.
• Portfolio with sketches and ideations plus production program samples.

Responsibilities

• Lead a design team to develop bold interior designs aligned with brand goals.
• Translate ideas into finished designs using 2D sketches, 3D tools, and collaborations.
• Coordinate with sculpting, engineering and fabrication teams in development of new designs.
• Present ideas to management and leadership and refine concepts from feedback.
• Maintain knowledge of current design trends and technology.
