Job summary

ProMach, Inc. invites energized students to join their Summer 2027 Controls Engineer Intern program in Huntington, IN. You will collaborate with experienced engineers to design, program, test, and commission PLC and HMI systems for packaging machinery.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Basic understanding of PLC programming platforms such as Rockwell Automation or Siemens.
• Familiarity with HMI development and industrial automation concepts.
• Exposure to electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel design principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Assist in design, programming, testing, and commissioning of PLC and HMI systems.
• Support integration of sensors, actuators, drives, and other control components.
• Troubleshoot and debug electrical and control systems on automated machinery.
• Create and update electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with Controls Engineers on system upgrades and new product development.
• Conduct research, testing, and analysis to improve machine performance and control system functionality.
• Support equipment validation activities and system testing.
