ProMach's 2027 Summer Internship Program invites you to join our team in Huntington, IN, for a Mechanical Engineer Intern role. You'll work alongside experienced engineers to support design, development, and improvement of packaging machinery and automation equipment.

This hands-on internship provides exposure to CAD, design reviews, prototyping, testing, and documentation, while developing technical, professional, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to learn quickly.
• Able to interpret technical drawings per ASME/ISO.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design of mechanical components and assemblies for packaging equipment.
• Create and modify 2D/3D CAD models and drawings.
• Support machine layouts and detailed manufacturing drawings.
• Participate in design reviews to improve performance and manufacturability.
• Assist prototyping, testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Document engineering work and maintain BOMs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing and project management.
• Follow safety and quality policies.
