Job summary
M4 Control Systems is seeking a Summer 2027 Automation & Controls Engineering Intern to join our Utah team. This internship provides hands-on experience supporting industrial automation and controls projects while working alongside experienced engineers and industry professionals.
The intern will assist with PLC programming, HMI development, documentation, and commissioning activities across multiple project phases, gaining exposure to control systems and customer support in a manufacturing
Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor's in Electrical/Automation related field.
- Interest in industrial automation, controls, robotics, or manufacturing systems.
- Basic understanding of PLCs, HMIs, electrical components, instrumentation.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills; able to read technical drawings.
Responsibilities
- Assist with PLC programs development, modification, and troubleshooting.
- Assist with HMI applications development for industrial systems.
- Support creation of electrical/control system documentation.
- Assist with control panel layout, testing, and build support.
- Participate in planning, startup, commissioning, and customer support.
- Learn industry standards and company engineering processes.
