Job summary

TW Constructors is seeking a Missouri State Student Intern for Summer 2027 in St. Louis. You will shadow project engineers, managers, estimators, and safety professionals on real construction projects, gaining hands-on experience from concept to closeout.

You will participate in site visits, assist with planning, budgeting, scheduling, and safety training, while developing leadership skills and a proactive, results-driven mindset in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university.
• Foundational understanding of construction principles and practices.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with collaborative approach to diverse teams.
• Experience with subcontracts, subcontractors, or self-perform work is a plus.
• Creative, results-driven, and able to work with urgency.
• Internship or project engineering experience on projects valued at $5M+ (design-build experience preferred).
• Committed to safety-first culture.
• Self-motivated and entrepreneurial; able to work independently and in a team.
• Physically capable of navigating active construction sites (walking, climbing ladders, multi-floor scaffolding).
• Willing to travel nationwide; travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate relationships with clients and subcontractors to support project success.
• Collaborate with engineers and planners to develop and maintain project schedules.
• Support creation of accurate project forecasts and budgets.
• Oversee cost management, change orders, RFIs, and other project documentation.
• Take ownership of project execution and delivery.
• Contribute to preconstruction planning, quality assurance, and safety initiatives.
• Assist senior project managers in overseeing construction activities.
• Receive leadership and guidance to support project teams through all phases.
