Job summary

TW Constructors is seeking an Intern (Summer 2027) in St. Louis to shadow project engineers, managers, estimators, and safety professionals. You will participate in site visits, gain hands-on experience, and receive safety training while supporting project teams from concept through closeout.

Responsibilities include fostering client and subcontractor relationships, helping develop schedules and budgets, and assisting with change orders, RFIs, and documentation. Travel nationwide may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university.
• Foundational understanding of construction principles and practices.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a flexible, collaborative approach to working with diverse teams.
• Experience with subcontracts, subcontractors, or self-perform work is a plus.
• Creative, results-driven, and able to work with a sense of urgency.
• Prior internship or project engineering experience on projects valued at $5 million or more (design-build experience preferred).
• Committed to upholding and promoting a Safety-First culture.
• Self-motivated and entrepreneurial, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate strong relationships with clients and subcontractors to support project success.
• Collaborate with engineers and planners to develop and maintain project schedules.
• Support the creation of accurate project forecasts and budgets.
• Oversee cost management, change orders, RFIs, and other project documentation.
• Take ownership of project execution and delivery; contribute to preconstruction planning, quality assurance, and safety initiatives.
• Assist senior project managers in overseeing construction activities.
• You will have leadership and guidance to support project teams throughout all phases.
