Job summary

KPFF Special Projects Group in Long Beach is offering a Civil Engineering Summer Internship for current students at the Junior or Senior level. It is ~40 hours per week for up to 90 days, focusing on civil, design-build transportation, structural, industrial and waterfront infrastructure across the U.S., with emphasis on West Coast and Pacific Northwest.

You will assist a civil engineer with project design tasks, site visits, calculations, plan production, and cost estimating, working with a

Qualifications

• Ability to work collaboratively with project team members and clients on a variety of projects
• Detail oriented and desire for continued learning
• Clear communication and writing skills
• General understanding of stormwater hydrology and hydraulics basics
• General understanding of AutoCAD and Civil 3D

Responsibilities

• Assist a civil engineer with various tasks associated with the project design, including calculations, plan production and review, and cost estimating.
• Assist with project site visits. The applicant may be required to navigate through a jobsite and must comply with all Company and Site safety requirements in the office and on the jobsite.
