KPFF Special Projects Group in Seattle is offering a Summer internship for a Civil Engineering student at junior or senior level. The internship is approx.

40 hours/week for up to 90 days depending on availability, with responsibilities spanning civil, design-build transportation, structural, industrial, and waterfront infrastructure, primarily on West Coast and Pacific Northwest projects. You’ll assist engineers with design tasks, learn software tools, and participate in a hands-on program with

Qualifications

• Detail oriented with a desire for ongoing learning.
• Willingness to work on a variety of projects.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic understanding of stormwater hydrology and hydraulics.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply civil design skills in project work.
• Assist engineers with design calculations, plan production, and cost estimating.
• Support design of stormwater systems, water systems, and habitat restoration.
• Exposure to modeling software (InfoWater, EPA SWMM, WWHM).
• Collaborate with engineers across disciplines on projects like ports and rails.
• Assist with site visits and comply with safety requirements.
• Participate in internship program with weekly trainings and site visits.
