Job summary

KPFF Special Projects Group in Long Beach invites a motivated Civil Engineering student at junior, senior, or graduate level for a summer internship in the Long Beach Office. The role involves roughly 40 hours per week for up to 90 days, with diverse exposure to civil, design-build transportation, structural, industrial and waterfront infrastructure projects on the West Coast.

You will assist a structural engineer with calculations, plan production, and site visits while adhering to safety

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering.
• Willingness to work on a variety of projects.
• Ability to work collaboratively with project team members and clients.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist a structural engineer with calculations, plan production and review, and cost estimating.
• Assist with project site visits and safety requirements on office and jobsite.
