Job summary

The Special Projects Group of KPFF is growing and looking for an ambitious Civil Engineering student for a summer internship in the Long Beach Office. The internship is about 40 hours per week for up to 90 days, depending on availability, with exposure to civil, design-build transportation, structural, industrial and waterfront infrastructure projects across the US.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Civil Engineering degree with interest in design-build transportation, structural, waterfront infrastructure.
• Willingness to learn, detail-oriented, and able to work in a team environment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist a civil engineer with project design tasks, including calculations, plan production and review, and cost estimating.
• Assist with project site visits and comply with safety requirements on/off the jobsite.
