Job summary

Basin Electric Power Cooperative in Beulah, ND is offering a summer internship at our Dakota Gasification Company for May 17, 2027 through August 20, 2027. The position involves temporary project-based support with organic, inorganic, and physical testing to support plant operations and environmental programs.

The intern will gain exposure to cooperative operations, perform hands-on tasks, and may work a 12-hour rotating shift while complying with safety guidelines and data logging in the Lab

Qualifications

• Enrolled as a full-time science-based student (e.g., chemistry) with at least one year completed, or recent graduate (within 12 months).
• Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5.
• Hold a valid driver’s license.
• Transcript required at time of application.

Responsibilities

• Assist with organic and inorganic analytical bench chemistry.
• Assist with calibrating instruments, troubleshooting testing procedure, logging samples into Lab information System, recording data and validating results.
• Follow safety, security, and procedural guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Support the annual Family Night event, including setup, participation, and cleanup.
