Job summary

Basin Electric Power Cooperative is seeking a STUDENT INTERN - CHEM LAB for the Beulah, ND site during the summer of 2027. The role involves hands-on analytical bench chemistry, instrument calibration, data logging, and adherence to safety procedures.

Ideal candidates are 18+, enrolled full-time in a science program (chemistry preferred) with at least one year completed and a minimum 2.5 GPA. Transcript is required with application; driving license is needed for site access.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Enrolled as a full-time student in a science-based program (e.g., chemistry) with at least one year completed.
• Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5.
• Hold a valid driver’s license.
• Transcript required at time of application. If your transcript is not attached at time of application, your application will not be reviewed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with organic and inorganic analytical bench chemistry.
• Calibrate instruments, troubleshoot testing procedure, log samples into Lab information System, record data, and validate results to meet rigorous quality control standards.
• Follow safety, security, and procedural guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Support the annual Family Night event, including setup, participation, and cleanup, as part of departmental responsibilities.
