Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced, high-energy Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership position at a rural summer camp. You will oversee all prep and production for designated day parts, manage staff, and ensure allergen safety in a fast-paced environment.

This on-site, live-in role requires maintaining high standards of sanitation and quality in a high-volume kitchen, with a minimum 6-day/70-hour week and seasonal May–Sept schedule.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional cooking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Manage operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking, and timely meal service.
• Strict allergen protocols (Kosher, Nut-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan, etc.) and sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
