Job summary

Galileo Learning seeks an experienced Camp Director to open and operate a Galileo location, serving K–8th grade campers. You’ll lead a seasonal team of educators and entry-level staff to deliver joyful, safe experiences and uphold program quality across curriculum and customer care.

You will own preseason planning through end-of-summer wrap-up, with responsibilities spanning training, scheduling, payroll, and performance management while maintaining strong family and partner relationships.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working with students in education settings.
• Experience leading or supervising a team in a summer camp or classroom environment.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with families and partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead camp launch and ongoing operations from preseason planning to wrap-up.
• Oversee daily camp operations and parent communications to ensure quality programming.
• Train, mentor and manage staff (7–40) and oversee scheduling, payroll and performance feedback.
• Maintain camper safety, program fidelity, and high-quality experiences for families.
• Collaborate with Field Program Manager and community partners to build trust and partnerships.
