Job summary

Galileo Learning is seeking an experienced Camp Director to lead our K–8th summer camps. You will open and operate a local Galileo location, manage a seasonal team of educators, and be the public face of the camp in your community.

You will oversee program quality, safety, and customer care, delivering exceptional camper and family experiences. This role involves phased responsibilities from preseason planning to end-of-summer wrap-up, with on-site and remote components.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in education/child development (K-8 preferred) or related coursework.
• 1+ year of team management or supervisory experience.
• Willingness to travel region to up to 3 in-person marketing events.
• Must meet CO licensing requirements and state certifications prior to camp start.
• Age 21+.

Responsibilities

• Lead camp launch from preseason planning through end-of-summer wrap-up.
• Oversee daily operations, parent communication, and program quality.
• Train and mentor a staff of 7 to 40.
• Ensure camper safety and family trust.
• Serve as primary face of camp in the community.
