Galileo Learning is seeking a Camp Director to lead our K-8th summer camps, serving as site General Manager and the public face of the organization. You will open and operate a Camp Galileo location, lead a seasonal team of educators and entry‑level staff to create joyful, safe environments and deliver excellence in customer care, curriculum, and team leadership.

This role requires ownership from preseason planning to end-of-summer wrap-up, fostering an inclusive camp culture, and coordinating

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working directly with students in an education setting.
• ≥1 year managing or supervising adult staff.
• Proven experience creating safe, inclusive environments for children and building trust with families.
• Proven experience setting clear expectations, giving ongoing feedback, and coaching staff to improve.
• Demonstrated ability to manage operational details like scheduling, staffing, and payroll.
• Ability to stay calm and make sound safety decisions in fast-paced situations.

Responsabilités

• Lead camp launch from preseason planning through end-of-summer wrap-up.
• Oversee daily camp operations and parent communication while delivering an exceptional program.
• Train and mentor a staff of 7 to 40; manage performance and schedule.
• Use the Galileo Innovation Approach to encourage curiosity and problem-solving.
• Build partnerships with families, facilities partners, and cross-functional teams.
• Travel to in-person marketing events as needed.
