Job summary

Education First is seeking an Academic Manager for Summer 2027 in New York. You will oversee the Academic aspects of the campus, support teaching staff, and ensure high customer service and student satisfaction.

Your responsibilities include scheduling, classroom allocation, staff management, and delivering teacher briefings. The role requires a university degree, TEFL or equivalent, and fluency in English. Training precedes contract start.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent, preferred.
• TEFL certificate or equivalent, preferred.
• Minimum six months of teaching experience or one summer teaching for EF.
• Have the right to live and work in the country of employment.
• Complete fluency in English.
• Attend an in-person training session before your contract commences.
• Management and administrative experience (preferred).
• Enthusiastic, organized, and a natural leader (preferred).
• Capable of using your own initiative (preferred).
• University degree in TESOL or similar field (preferred).
• Applicants must be age 21 or older (required).

Responsibilities

• Setting up the school and classrooms to EF specifications and maintaining them throughout the season.
• Coordinating timetables for all academic groups and setting up classes using EF's production system.
• Allocating teachers and classrooms to groups and placing students into classes on start days.
• Managing academic stock, including exam papers, certificates, teaching supplies, and equipment.
• Managing all teaching staff at the campus and coordinating with senior staff for integration.
• Delivering initial teacher briefings and conducting daily/weekly meetings.
