Job summary

Rogers Behavioral Health seeks a Therapist Intern to develop and coordinate direct social services for patients and families, in settings from inpatient to outpatient. You will work with your university to implement cognitive behavioral therapies and clinical interventions, while ensuring safety and high-quality documentation.

The role requires active enrollment in a Master's program in Social Work or Clinical Mental Health Counseling, completion of onboarding, and training in aggressive patient

Qualifications

• Completed Bachelor's Degree and enrolled in a Master's Degree program in Social Work, Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
• Working knowledge of therapeutic intervention and techniques for all age groups, as well as the dynamics of human growth and behavior.
• Successful completion of all Rogers onboarding training coursework is required prior to start.
• Formal training in the management of the aggressive patient (NCI) within sixty (60) days of date of placement; annual recertification.
• Successful completion of pre-placement background checks through the Rogers system.
• Successful occupational health clearance from your provider is required.

Summary

The Therapist Intern develops, coordinates, and facilitates all direct social services to patients and their families assigned and performs duties as directed by their manager. The Therapist Intern could work in an acute care setting that includes inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient services.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Per program description and in partnership with your university, this internship may include duties of cognitive behavioral therapies in addition to social services. Specific details of the experience will be developed by Rogers in collaboration with your university and may include the following:
