Job summary

Rogers Behavioral Health in Hinsdale, IL seeks a Therapist Intern to develop, coordinate and facilitate direct social services for patients and families across inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient services.

You will complete required documentation, support clinical interventions, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team while ensuring patient safety and adherence to Rogers onboarding and health clearance standards.

Qualifications

• Completed Bachelor's Degree and enrolled in a Master's Degree program in Social Work, Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
• Working knowledge of therapeutic intervention and techniques for all age groups, and growth and behavior dynamics.
• Onboarding training coursework completed prior to start.
• NCI training for aggressive patients completed within 60 days of placement, with annual recertification.
• Background checks and occupational health clearance completed per Rogers requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide social services to patients and their families/significant others.

• Complete discharge documentation as required and on time.
• Provide leadership and guidance in clinical interventions.
• Communicate professionally and accurately.
• Demonstrate strong interdisciplinary approach and effective communication among teams.

Summary:

The Therapist Intern develops, coordinates, and facilitates all direct social services to patients and their families assigned and performs duties as directed by their manager. The Therapist Intern could work in an acute care setting that includes inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient services.

Education/Training Requirements:

• Successful completion of all Rogers onboarding training coursework is required prior to start.
• Formal training in the management of the aggressive patient (NCI) is required within sixty (60) days of date of placement. Annual re-certification is required and will be provided.
• Successful completion of pre-placement background checks through the Rogers system are required.
• Successful occupational health clearance from your provider is required.
