Job summary

BHE GT&S invites engineering students to join a summer internship in the Drafting & Records Department at our White Oaks General Office Building in Bridgeport, WV. The program focuses on TVC records reviews, project documentation checks for Part 192 and SOP compliance, and gaining knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.

Expected to work on-site for a minimum of 8 weeks starting June 7, with possible extension.

Qualifications

• Rising sophomore, junior, or senior by summer 2027.
• Enrolled in a 4 year ABET accredited Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering Bachelor’s degree program.
• Must have a 2.5 GPA or higher (3.0 preferred).
• Excellent computer skills with knowledge of Word and Excel.
• Ability to work in a team environment or independently.
• Must currently hold a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist with TVC records reviews.
• Review project documentation for Part 192 and SOP compliance.
• Gain a working knowledge of industry codes and standards.
