Job summary

HNTB Corporation is seeking an Intern Engineer for Summer 2027 to support multiple offices (Arlington, VA; Baltimore, MD; Washington, DC). The role focuses on assisting engineering teams in research, design, and documentation while learning introductory shop drawing and submittal procedures.

The position requires enrollment in an accredited engineering program and a basic understanding of engineering concepts, with proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with MicroStation or AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent plus current enrollment in an accredited post-secondary engineering program.
• Understands engineering, geometric, and algebraic principles at a basic level.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to perform basic engineering calculations.

Responsibilities

• Assists engineer teams in various tasks and duties.
• Assists Engineer with research, development and design of projects.
• Assists Engineer with the preparation of engineering drawings and documents as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
