Job summary

TW Constructors offers a paid internship in St. Louis for Summer 2027, giving you hands-on exposure to project engineers, managers, estimators, and safety professionals.

You will participate in active job-site visits, gain practical experience, and receive safety training while supporting projects from conception to closeout. You will shadow teams, develop schedules, monitor budgets, and contribute to forecasting, cost management, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university.
• Foundational understanding of construction principles and practices.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a flexible, collaborative approach to working with diverse teams.
• Experience with subcontracts, subcontractors, or self-perform work is a plus.
• Prior internship or project engineering experience on projects valued at $5 million or more (design-build experience preferred).
• Committed to upholding and promoting a Safety-First culture.
• Self-motivated and entrepreneurial, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Projects are located nationwide; travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate strong relationships with clients and subcontractors to support project success.
• Collaborate with engineers and planners to develop and maintain project schedules.
• Support the creation of accurate project forecasts and budgets.
• Oversee cost management, change orders, RFIs, and other project documentation.
• Take ownership of project execution and delivery.
• Contribute to preconstruction planning, quality assurance, and safety initiatives.
• Assist senior project managers in overseeing construction activities.
• You will have leadership and guidance to support project teams throughout all phases.
