Job summary

TW Constructors in St. Louis, MO offers a paid Student Internship (Summer 2027) where you shadow project engineers, managers, estimators, and safety professionals.

You’ll participate in active job site visits, gain hands-on experience, and receive safety training as part of a college internship program. Responsibilities include cultivating client/subcontractor relationships, maintaining schedules, forecasting budgets, and supporting project documentation and safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university.
• Foundational understanding of construction principles and practices.
• Experience with subcontracts, subcontractors, or self-perform work is a plus.
• Prior internship or project engineering experience on projects valued at $5 million or more (design-build experience preferred).
• Committed to upholding and promoting a Safety-First culture.
• Self-motivated and entrepreneurial, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Projects are located nationwide; travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate strong relationships with clients and subcontractors to support project success.
• Collaborate with engineers and planners to develop and maintain project schedules.
• Support the creation of accurate project forecasts and budgets.
• Oversee cost management, change orders, RFIs, and other project documentation.
• Take ownership of project execution and delivery.
• Contribute to preconstruction planning, quality assurance, and safety initiatives.
• Assist senior project managers in overseeing construction activities.
• You will have leadership and guidance to support project teams throughout all phases.
