Job summary

Hylant invites you to join its Summer Internship Program, a hands-on opportunity in the insurance industry designed to build practical skills and professional connections. You will work alongside experienced account managers, assist with policy processing, client records, and reporting, and participate in training focused on products, compliance, and systems.

Ideal candidates are rising juniors or seniors or recent graduates with a 3.0+ GPA, who are authorized to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Must be a rising junior, senior, or graduate-level student or have graduated within the past seven months.
• Maintains a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Willingness to work from a Hylant office location nationwide.
• Interest in a long-term career in insurance.

Your Role

Here’s What You Will Be Doing

• Assist with processing insurance applications or certificates of insurance.
• Organize and maintain client records and documentation.
• Help prepare reports, presentations, and summaries for internal use.
• Support data entry and database management for policy information.
• Help schedule appointments and follow-ups with clients or agents.
• Review insurance policies for accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct market research and analyze data.
• Shadow experienced account managers or service team members.
• Attend training sessions on insurance products, compliance, and systems.
• Take on projects that support the team where necessary.

About You

• Rising junior, senior, or graduate-level standing at an accredited college or university, or graduated within the past seven months.
• Maintain an average GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Ability to work from one of Hylant’s office locations nationwide.
• Availability to work from May 18-August 13, 2027, with some flexibility.
• Interest in a long-term career in insurance.
• Involvement in extracurricular activities and/or part-time job recommended.
• Major in Risk Management and Insurance, Sales, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, IT, Business, HR, or Communications preferred but not required.
• Authorized to work for any U.S. employer; Hylant cannot provide H-1B visa sponsorship.

• Participate in the Hylant Innovation Challenge, consulting with executive leadership on real business solutions.

Career Progression

• Successful interns at junior or senior standing may be eligible for scholarships and long-term career opportunities within the insurance industry.
