Job summary

Silversea is seeking an experienced housekeeping professional to maintain guest suites, bathrooms and public areas aboard our luxury ships. You will ensure top cleanliness, restock amenities, and provide turn-down service, delivering attentive guest care to meet exacting standards.

Responsibilities include assisting butlers with packing, unpacking, shoe polishing and valet tasks; performing embarkation/disembarkation duties; maintaining sanitation; and reporting equipment issues.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience preferably in an upscale hotel, resort, or cruise ship (shipboard experience preferred).
• Good knowledge of the English language is required. Ability to speak additional languages such as Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and prepares guest suites, bathrooms, and public areas to the highest housekeeping standards, including restocking amenities and providing turndown service.
• Delivers exceptional guest service by attending to special requests, preferences, luggage handling, and general guest needs in a professional and timely manner.
• Assists butlers with packing/unpacking, shoe polishing, valet services, and other suite-related duties to ensure a seamless guest experience.
• Maintains cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of housekeeping areas, equipment, and lockers in compliance with Public Health standards and outbreak response protocols.
• Performs embarkation, disembarkation, room service, inventory, and preventive maintenance duties while ensuring proper use and reporting of equipment.
• Follows company policies, service standards, grooming requirements, and standard operating procedures at all times.
• Works closely with supervisors and team members, communicates issues promptly, supports training of new staff, and contributes to efficient shipboard operations.
• Demonstrates cost awareness, minimizes waste, upholds quality standards, and consistently delivers personalized hospitality and guest satisfaction.
• Good knowledge of the English language is required. Ability to speak additional languages such as Spanish, preferred.
