Courtyard Marriott Newnan in Georgia seeks a hands-on Housekeeping Supervisor to lead Room Attendants, House Attendants, and Laundry Attendants, ensuring guestrooms, suites, public areas and back-of-house spaces meet brand standards.

As a working supervisor, you will inspect rooms for cleanliness, assign duties based on occupancy, train staff, monitor safety, and coordinate with Engineering for maintenance while delivering exceptional guest service and maintaining daily schedules.

Formación

• Minimum 1–2 years’ housekeeping supervisory experience.
• Minimum 4 years’ hotel housekeeping experience.
• Background, credit, and job reference checks.
• Ability to listen effectively and lead a team.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Brand knowledge preferred.
• Fluent in English; Spanish a plus.

Position Summary

The Housekeeping Supervisor / Room Attendant is a hands-on leadership position responsible for supervising and supporting the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department. Responsibilities include training and supervising Room Attendants, House Attendants (Housemen), and Laundry Attendants to ensure guestrooms, suites, public areas, and back-of-house areas are cleaned and maintained according to hotel, company, and brand standards.

This position visually inspects guestrooms and suites for cleanliness, maintenance concerns, proper supplies, and overall readiness. As a working supervisor, this position is also expected to clean guestrooms and assist with housekeeping duties as needed.

• Supervise, train, coach, and support Room Attendants, House Attendants, and Laundry Attendants.
• Assign daily duties based on occupancy, arrivals, departures, stayovers, staffing, and hotel needs.
• Inspect guestrooms and suites to ensure cleanliness, proper supplies, presentation, and compliance with hotel and brand standards.
• Monitor public areas, hallways, housekeeping closets, laundry areas, and other assigned spaces for cleanliness and organization.
• Clean guestrooms and suites as assigned or when needed due to occupancy, staffing, call-outs, or operational demands.
• Ensure team members follow proper cleaning procedures, safety requirements, attendance expectations, and hotel policies.
• Identify and report maintenance concerns and coordinate with Engineering/Property Operations to ensure appropriate follow-up.
• Assist with housekeeping schedules, staffing, inventory, supplies, and departmental organization.
• Respond professionally to guest requests and assist in resolving housekeeping-related concerns.

Supportive Functions

In addition to the essential functions, this position may be required to:

• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external guests, including information regarding hotel services and local attractions.
• Promote team member engagement, accountability, and teamwork.
• Coordinate with Engineering/Property Operations regarding repairs and preventive maintenance in guestrooms and public areas.
• Conduct quarterly linen inventory and assist with monitoring housekeeping supplies, amenities, and equipment.
• Assist with deep cleaning, special projects and other hotel operational needs.

Other Duties

The Housekeeping Supervisor / Room Attendant must demonstrate a working knowledge of hotel and brand service standards and maintain regular and reliable attendance.

This position will work closely with the Housekeeping Executive and General Manager when making decisions within the Housekeeping Department, particularly regarding disciplinary matters, staffing concerns, operational changes, and significant purchases.

Additional duties may be assigned based on the operational needs of the hotel.

Requirements

• Minimum 1-2 years’ housekeeping supervisory experience required; preferred experience in hospitality or travel and tourism
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in hotel housekeeping required
• Background, credit, and job reference check, drug screening
• Ability to listen effectively and lead a team
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team, delegate/manage/organize projects and priorities consistent with company objectives
• Brand knowledge preferred
• Read, write and speak English fluently; knowledge of other languages, especially Spanish, is a plus
