Job summary

Scenic Group (Scenic / Emerald Cruises) seeks a Cabin/Laundry Steward/ess to maintain guest cabins and assist with laundry tasks aboard our ships. You will perform daily cleaning, turndown service, linen handling, and support special events while upholding company standards.

Applicants should have at least 1 year in housekeeping, experience in 4* or 5* operations, and a client-focused, reliable, team-oriented mindset in a multicultural environment.

• Min. 1 year experience in a housekeeping department.
• Experience in 4* or 5* operations (hotel or cruise ships).

Responsibilities

• Daily clean and service up to 16 guest cabins, including turndown service and embarkation setup.
• Provide a professional and courteous service in accordance with company standards.
• Restock cabin amenities as required.
• Maintain cleanliness in public areas as instructed by the supervisor.
• Distribute items such as gift orders to assigned cabins.
• Maintain proper storage of all linen, uniforms, supplies, and equipment.
• Knowledge of the daily programs.
• Check externally laundered linen during linen change days and report deficiencies and discrepancies to the supervisor.
• Carry out daily laundry duties such as washing and ironing as per instructions.
• Handle guest and crew laundry as per company standards.
• Welcome and greet guests on embarkation days.
• Perform additional duties during special events.
• Duly inform the supervisor about any guest complaints.
• Notify the supervisor of breakage and/or damage of any equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness front and back of the house according to sanitary regulations.
• Ensure correct handling of all equipment, machinery, and chemicals.
• Report any potential safety hazards.
• Perform other assigned duties, e.g. luggage service, loading, and garbage off-loading.
• Assist with monthly inventories as per the supervisor's instructions.
• Assisting other departments as per the supervisor's instructions.
• Participate in all safety drills and ensure solid knowledge of designated safety role.
