Job summary

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a SUE Technician II in Phoenix, AZ to map and protect utility systems. You will work with Senior SUE Staff, Project Manager and engineers using electromagnetic locators, ground penetrating radar, GPS and vacuum excavation to identify utilities and support project decisions.

Qualifications

2+ years experience with electromagnetic and geophysical locating technologies.
5+ years experience preferred.
VAC Truck experience preferred.
Must be able to quickly grasp new technologies.
Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret utility records, as-built and survey drawings.
Designate existing utilities using electromagnetic and geophysical technologies.
Operate and drive a vacuum excavation truck and perform test holes.
Utilize appropriate maintenance of traffic.
Call “One-Call” tickets.
Coordinate survey work in relation with SUE.
Supervise activities of field crew.
Train junior crew members.
Represent Colliers Engineering & Design in the field with utility companies.
