Job summary

AECOM is seeking a SUE Technician to support projects across the Eastern region, including the Charlotte area. The role uses geophysical equipment and ASCE 38-02/38-22 standards to identify utilities with field observations and deductive skills.

Travel to field sites and overnight stays are required. Candidates should have a relevant degree or equivalent experience, valid driver’s license, and be prepared for background checks.

Qualifications

• BS degree with 2+ years related experience, or AS with 4+ years, or HS with 6+ years.
• SUE, private locating and/or surveying experience required.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to travel overnight.
• Background checks may be required and must be passed.

Responsibilities

• Identify, designate and locate utilities within job scope per ASCE 38-02 & 38-22.
• Operate advanced geophysical equipment and apply deductive reasoning to locate utilities.
