Job summary

Bowman Consulting seeks a Survey SUE Technician II to work in our North and South Carolina offices, including Columbia, Raleigh, Charlotte, or Charleston. You will perform SUE field activities, operate EMI/GPR equipment, collect data, and document results in reports and drawings.

The role requires 3+ years as SUE Technician I or related experience, with travel and a strong safety mindset. Heavy emphasis on accuracy and teamwork within a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED strongly preferred. Commensurate relevant experience considered.
• Three or more (3+) years as SUE Technician I or related experience.
• Basic knowledge of Land Surveying.
• Ability/willingness to travel for work assignments, including occasional overnight assignments.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and random thereafter.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities through nondestructive methods.
• Operate Data Collectors and collect field measurements.
• Record drawing and design plans.
• Train junior field staff.
• Perform SUE field activities with little supervision.
• Train to operate and maintain company equipment and vehicles.
