Job summary

Bowman is seeking a Survey SUE Technician II to join our team in our North and South Carolina offices (Raleigh, Charlotte, Charleston, or Columbia). The role involves outdoor work with electromagnetic equipment and GPR to detect subsurface utilities, plus vacuum truck operations and utility mark-out.

You will document work with sketches and reports and train to operate company equipment. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years as SUE Tech I or related experience, basic

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• 3+ years as SUE Technician I or related experience.
• Basic knowledge of Land Surveying.
• Ability/willingness to travel, including occasional overnight assignments.
• Pass pre-employment drug screening and possess a valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities using nondestructive methods.
• Operate data collectors and record field measurements.
• Record and document underground utility field data.
• Train to operate and maintain company equipment and meet safety standards.
• Perform SUE field activities with little supervision.
• Prepare daily paperwork and sketches.
