Job summary

Bowman Consulting is seeking a Survey SUE Technician III to join our team in our Columbia, SC office. The role involves outdoor field work with vacuum trucks, EMI, and GPR equipment, performing SUE surveys, and documenting results.

You will train junior technicians and interact with clients to support project delivery. Required is a high school diploma or GED with at least 5 years of SUE field experience, plus a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; commensurate relevant experience considered.
• Extensive knowledge of all phases of SUE field operations.
• Five or more (5+) years as SUE Technician I/II or related experience.
• Basic knowledge of land surveying.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Proficient operation and extensive knowledge of vacuum truck and related equipment.
• Proficient operation and extensive knowledge of multi-frequency EMI and ground penetrating radar (GPR).
• Perform SUE survey field work.
• Prepare daily paperwork.
• Train SUE Technicians I and II.
• Use and interpret design plans and record drawings.
• Interact professionally with clients.
• Assist with marketing of the firm’s capabilities to establish new clients.
