Job summary

SAM is seeking a SUE Project Manager to lead subsurface utility engineering projects from planning through final delivery. Based in either NYC or Boston, you’ll manage project scope, budgets, and schedules while coordinating field and office teams to deliver accurate utility information.

You’ll serve as a primary client contact, help solve project challenges, and support the growth of our SUE services through strong relationships and new business opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience leading SUE projects from planning to delivery.
• Knowledge of SUE practices and ASCE 38-22 preferred.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, resources and client relationships.
• Familiarity with CAD, GIS, and utility data management tools.
• Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage SUE projects from kickoff through completion, overseeing scope, quality, budget, and schedule.
• Prepare proposals, scopes of work, budgets, and schedules; manage contracts and billing.
• Coordinate staffing and resources across multiple projects with field and office teams.
• Build client relationships, communicate progress, and resolve issues.
• Review deliverables for accuracy and alignment with standards.
• Identify opportunities for additional work and support business development.
