Job summary

Surveying And Mapping, LLC (SAM) seeks a SUE Project Manager to lead subsurface utility engineering projects from proposal through final delivery, guiding field and office teams and coordinating resources for timely, quality outcomes.

You will mentor staff, support business development, and serve as the primary client contact while managing budgets and schedules to meet client expectations.

Qualifications

• Experience managing SUE projects or phases, including coordinating teams, schedules, budgets and deliverables.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Understanding of SUE field operations, office workflows, and project deliverables.
• Proficiency with CAD platforms (AutoCAD or MicroStation) and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple SUE projects from planning through completion, ensuring quality and client requirements.
• Coordinate field crews, CAD staff and other project personnel, including staffing, scheduling, logistics and troubleshooting.
• Develop and manage proposals, scopes of work, budgets, schedules, and contracts.
• Build strong client relationships, communicate progress, adapt to changing needs.
• Monitor project financials including billing, AR, and WIP; support business development.
