Job summary

Sea Mar Community Health Centers, a Federally Qualified Health Center, seeks a Substance Use Disorder Trainee to learn under clinical supervision and develop competencies as a SUDP. The role focuses on direct counseling, screening, evaluation, and referrals for adults, youth, and families with chemical dependency and related mental health concerns.

Qualifications

• Must have completed all classes required to become a Substance Use Disorder Professional and complete practicum hours.
• Must have current Substance Use Disorder Trainee Registration with the State Department of Health.
• Must hold and maintain an active Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor License within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide screening, evaluation and referrals to other treatment/service programs.
• Provide individual and group counseling for clients with drug and mental health issues.
• Serve as co-case manager for up to ten youth.
• Maintain documentation and progress notes in ASAM-compliant records.
• Coordinate with staff and external agencies to expedite treatment and continuum of care.
