Job summary

Catholic Community Services in Federal Way, WA, is seeking a Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainee to provide assessment, individual counseling, group facilitation, case management, and care coordination for adults in the CReW program. Includes clinical documentation and collaboration with treatment teams.

Requirements include SUDP or SUDPT certification with WA DOH, or ability to obtain within the first week, and a degree in a social-service field.

Qualifications

• Associate’s, Bachelor’s or Master’s level degree in a social service-related field.
• SUDP or SUDPT certification with WA State Dept. of Health, or ability to obtain DOH credential within first week of hire.
• One-year direct service experience with adults who have mental health conditions and/or homelessness.
• Criminal history/background checks required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide and facilitate a range of counseling services, including assessment, diagnosis, individual counseling, and group facilitation.
• Coordinate care, case management, and documentation to support recovery.
• Collaborate with treatment teams and participate in supervision and psychiatric consultation.
• Assist with medication monitoring and monitoring of symptoms and side effects.
• Facilitate relapse prevention and recovery-focused groups.
