Job summary

Qualifications include a certified SUD counselor credential; a bachelor’s degree or higher is preferred, or HS diploma with 4+ years SUD experience. Certification through the Missouri Credentialing Board is required.

Qualifications

• Certified SUD Counselor; bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.
• Applicants with HS diploma/HiSet and at least 4 years SUD experience may be considered.
• Must be certified or registered through the Missouri Credentialing Board (CADC, CRADC, CRAADC, or RADC-P).

Responsibilities

• Deliver services across four domains: screening/engagement, counseling, treatment planning, collaboration & referral.
• Provide individual and group counseling and education as scheduled.
• Advocate for clients at case and community level.
• Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team staffing meetings.
• Represent the agency in a caring and professional manner.
• Follow evidence-based practice models.
• Understand diagnostic criteria for substance use and/or mental disorders.
• Communicate information clearly and accurately.
• Ensure program operates within CARF/DMH standards and plans.
• Adhere to policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
