Job summary

Preferred Family Healthcare in Trenton, MO is seeking a Substance Use Disorder Counselor to conduct intake, assessments, and develop treatment plans for individuals with substance use disorders. The role includes counseling sessions, documentation, and participation in team meetings to ensure quality care.

You will work under state regulations and agency guidelines, collaborating with the treatment team and engaging in ongoing professional development while supporting patients through recovery

Qualifications

• Credentials as Qualified Addiction Professional (MCB) per Missouri guidelines.
• CADC/CRADC/CRAADC/RADC/CCJP certifications are preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Lead intake, screening, and assessment in accordance with state guidelines.
• Develop personalized treatment plans and monitor progress.
• Participate in treatment team meetings and clinical staffing.
• Document services to maintain accurate client records.
• Coordinate transitions and communicate with referral sources.
• Engage in ongoing training and apply evidence-based practices.
• Support community relations and act as a program ambassador.
