Job summary

Fcc Behavioral Health in Kennett, MO is seeking an Associate Substance Use Disorders Counselor to provide counseling to individuals with substance use disorders in residential and/or outpatient settings, guiding them through treatment progression.

The role includes conducting individual and group counseling, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team, and pursuing MAADC and CRADC credentials within defined timeframes while upholding CARF/DMH standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or HiSet required.
• MAADC I credential to be obtained within first 3 months.
• Ability to progress through Associate Counselor Career Ladder and attain MAADC II by end of second year.
• Ability to pass CRADC exam and attain CRADC certification by end of fourth year.

Responsibilities

• Provide services within the 4 performance domains (Screening, Assessment & Engagement; Counseling; Treatment Planning, Collaboration & Referral; Professional, Ethical Responsibilities).
• Provide Individual Counseling, Group Counseling, and Group Education as scheduled.
• Advocate for persons served on a case and community level.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary treatment team staffing meetings.
• Represent the agency in a caring and professional manner.
• Demonstrate unconditional positive regard towards persons served.
• Maintain a solution-focused attitude.
• Adhere to applicable evidence-based practice models.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of diagnostic criteria sets for substance use and/or mental disorders.
• Communicate information effectively and accurately.
• Ensure program operates within CARF/DMH standards and strategic plan.

Education
