Job summary

Fcc Behavioral Health in Mountain Grove, MO is seeking a Substance Use Disorders Counselor to provide counseling in residential and/or outpatient settings. The role includes individual and group counseling, treatment planning, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Must be certified or registered through the Missouri Credentialing Board (CADC, CRADC, CRAADC, or RADC-P).

Responsibilities

• Deliver services across four domains: screening/engagement, counseling, treatment planning, collaboration & referral.
• Provide individual and group counseling and education as scheduled.
• Advocate for clients at case and community level.
• Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team staffing meetings.
• Represent the agency in a caring and professional manner.
• Follow evidence-based practice models.
• Understand diagnostic criteria for substance use and/or mental disorders.
• Communicate information clearly and accurately.
• Ensure program operates within CARF/DMH standards and plans.
• Adhere to policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Purpose

Provide counseling to individuals with a substance use disorder in a residential and/or outpatient setting. Facilitate an individual’s treatment progress while guiding them through each phase of their substance use disorder treatment.

Qualifications

Certified SUD Counselor- Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred. Applicants with a High School diploma or HiSet certificate and at least four years of applicable SUD experience may be considered. Must be certified or registered through the Missouri Credentialing Board. Relevant credentials are; CADC, CRADC, CRAADC, or RADC-P.

Core Job Duties

• Provide services within the 4 performance domains (Screening, Assessment & Engagement; Counseling; Treatment Planning, Collaboration & Referral; Professional, Ethical Responsibilities).
• Provide Individual Counseling, Group Counseling, and Group Education as scheduled.
• To Advocate for Person(s) served on a case and community level.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary treatment team staffing meetings.
• Represent the agency in a caring and professional manner.
• Adherence to all applicable evidence-based practice models.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of diagnostic criteria sets for substance use and/or mental disorders.
• Orally communicate information effectively and accurately.
• Assure program operates within the constraints of the agency’s certification (CARF, DMH) standards and strategic plan related to clinical care.
• Abide by program and agency policies and procedures.
• Other job duties and special projects as assigned.
